Top International Locations for World Travelers

Being a college student, the world is at your fingertips. For many, the move to college is the farthest they have ever been from home. You spend your whole life in a little bubble and suddenly, BAM (no, not Books A Million), there is so much more to see. While majority of us 20-somethings are broke and can’t pay for next week’s Starbucks let alone a plane ticket, a girl can dream.

Dr. Mark Sachleben’s Introduction to International Studies class takes my imagination to far away countries as we discuss different regions of the world each class period. Recently Dr. Sachleben shared the Top 10 international locations for world travelers (as of 2014), #6 and 9 surprised me. So go ahead- add these sites to your bucket list for when you marry a doctor and have a bazillion dollars to spend.

  1. France- Paris and delicious sweets, need I say more:

      2. United States- Check, we’ve all been here. But have you seen all 50 states yet?

3, Spain- Just look at the beautiful beaches! 4. China- Check out the Great Wall of China and see the cute panda bars. 5. Italy- Their pasta is the bomb.com plus they have such a rich culture

6.Turkey- Who wouldn’t want to see sweet hot air balloons?

7. Germany- Such cool houses.

8. United Kingdom- Looks like a sight out of a novel.   9. Russia- Come see Moscow and the beautiful cathedrals.

10. Mexico- Great place to practice your high school Spanish and fulfill your taco addiction.

I'm a Junior Communications Journalism major at Shippensburg. In my free time I like to run, read, watch Netflix and spend time with God.
I'm Nicole! Nikki, Nic, anything you want to call me really. I'm from south-eastern Pennsylvania and I love life and beauty. Whenever I'm not writing or taking pictures for my blogs or social media accounts, you can find me (hopefully) at the beach surfing, traveling, making new friends and seeing new places. I'm in love with people I've never met and places I've never been to. I am currently a Senior (!!!) at Shippensburg University, majoring in Communications Journalism (focusing in Public Relations) and minoring in Psychology. I would love to work for a PR firm with advertising, event planning and perhaps a chance to travel. Thanks for reading!! - Nicole
