Being cozy in the fall months is the most important thing to me, and like most other college girls, leggings are a staple clothing item.  I love to wear my cozy sweaters and leggings as I shuffle off to my classes in the “cold” Texas weather. However, I have recently started a new crusade to try and dress better in my daily life, and fall fashion has been a recent favorite to look into.

1. Being comfortable doesn’t mean you can’t look cute. Sweaters are literally designed to be comfortable, and are a perfect way to keep you warm in the chilly months. Pairing a fall hue sweater with some black or dark wash jeans adds an edgier look. You could also pair the look with light jeans and cute tan shoes to make the look a little more preppy.

2. Suede skirts are always a good idea. These skirts are so cute; I want to order five of them from Forever 21 just to have options. They are super simple, can be dressed up and dressed down—and the fabric is thick so it doesn’t fly up with a small gust of wind. You can wear them with a nice sweater/cardigan and booties, dress it up with a tank and thigh-highs, or if you don’t want to shave, adding leggings to either options is tres chic.

3. Match your cardigan and heels. This is honestly my favorite look for fall/winter. Wearing heels is the worst for me, so if I had the incentive to match the rest of my outfit I would power through any foot pain. Especially when you add a dark fall chunky cardigan and a matching heel color. The look is very relaxed and so cozy that it also helps you look equally put together.

4. Scarves and accessories make an outfit. Having a big scarf to wear in the winter is cozy, cute, and comfortable. It helps keep you warm, while also adding some style. Adding a similar color earring and matching heel will also help make you feel more put together
