Almost every college student has access to a Netflix account. College life has its highs and lows, but one constant is Netflix. Here are my four favorite shows that I have watched in between classes and late nights.
A lot of girls like watching Grey’s Anatomy. Between McDreamy and McSteamy and all the surgical procedures you see, you think that you could be a doctor yourself. All we want is for Meredith Grey to be happy because she has gone through her fair share of heartache. I stopped watching this for a while because it seemed to be just too much, but when my roommate started watching it, I couldn’t help but be sucked right back into the operating room.
Grace and Frankie is a hilarious Netflix original about two women who become best friends after their husbands of over 40 years tell them that they are gay and in love with each other. The two women (both over 70) have to go back to the life of dating and finding their way in the world. Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are a spectacular duo who make this show what it is with their comedy and banter.
Friends is a classic show from the 90’s about a group of friends and their trials through adulthood with job hunting, finding love and having enough cups of coffee to get you through the day. Each character brings their own unique spin into the stirring pot that is the friendship of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey.
This show is my all-time favorite that I could potentially write a full article about. I grew up watching this animated series and it changed my life. Yes, an animated Nickelodeon tv series made my childhood so much better. Action packed sequences with martial arts, beautiful animation and a ton of life lessons over a cup of tea makes Team Avatar: Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph and Zuko, a team that I always wished I could be on.
We don’t talk about the movie though…Never. Everyone has their own personal favorite shows. My roommate enjoys crime shows, I have friends who love anime and I have family who like things like House Hunters. Everyone is different! I suggest trying a few shows out to see what you like. Netflix and Hulu are a good place to start
