There are many things that set off that red alert. I learned these things all too well, and I still put myself in the position of thinking the guy will change, but here are 7 red flags to help you avoid toxic men:

  1. He only hits you up when he is bored: If a guy is not willing to put effort in the relationship then he probably isn’t the one.
  1. His idea of “hanging out”: If his idea of hanging out is making out in his car and having “fun” (in his words) then he probably does not deserve your time.
  1. Public places: He doesn’t like to go out in public with you. The only food he buys you is fast food through the drive-thru, because he knows What-a-burger is full, and he might run into some people he knows.
  1. Secrets: He might not have opened up to you yet. But if this is an ongoing thing and it seems like you guys can’t talk to each other, it’s probably not meant to be.
  1. He’s right: He can never be wrong or apologize to you, because he knows the right way and there is no other way.
  1. The pics: If this boy is asking for nudes right away, he doesn’t want to get to see the real you he only wants your body.
  1. Last thing: If your friends hate/dislike him a lot, this is usually a big sign he is not worthy of you. Your friends usually have the best judgement about a guy you are hanging out with
