Remember the songs you used to sing as a kid, or when you were a teen? Or, to those who are still in their teen years, that familiar song that was on the radio a couple of years ago?

Songs make us think about a particular moment in time that we want to go back to or to forget all together. Snacking at the beach, hanging out with friends before they moved away, and even meeting your boyfriend—or ex, maybe—are all memories triggered by the music at the time.

We all have our favorite songs, and sometimes we wish that they can make a comeback on our radios. Here are a few throwbacks that will jog your memory, and say: “Oh my god, I used to love this song!”

  1. S.O.S. – Jonas Brothers

From: Gfycat.com

This pop song was released in 2007 on the Jonas Brothers album. An edgy, blood-pumping melody made the heartbreakers that much more irresistible!

  1. Umbrella – Rihanna feat. Jay-Z

From: Spotern.com

Rihanna released this song back in 2008 on her Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded album. As you can guess, the goddess made us feel like we can take care of our loved ones and feel like bad B’s while we do it.

  1. Somebody That I Used to Know – Gotye feat. Kimbra

From: Mashable.com

Released in 2011 for his Making Mirrors album, Gotye really channeled the abstract art form in this video. Personally, some parts kind of surprised me out a bit because I forgot that the other singer was still there.

  1. Use Somebody – Kings of Leon

From: Spin.com

The rock band released this song in 2008 for their Only by the Night album. The song won three Grammy Awards in 2010 for “Record of the Year,” “Best Rock Song,” and “Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.”

  1. Lose Yourself – Eminem

From: Youtube.com // EminemExplicit

Eminem (AKA Marshall Mathers) is known as one of the best rappers in the industry for his relatable and unfiltered lyrics. Nothing less was expected from this 2002 song, created for the Mile 8 movie, in which he had the starring role.
