4 Beauty Products for a Low-Maintenance Beauty Routine

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SFA chapter.

No matter if you wear makeup every day or if you rock the bare-faced look, healthy skin is something everyone strives for. If you’re anything like me, you don’t want to spend a long time making sure your skin is healthy in the morning, but it’s still a priority. Well, luckily for you, I have a list of beauty products that I swear by that only add about 5 minutes to your morning and evening routine and keep your skin clear and glowing like the goddess you are.

1.Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser – just over $6 at Walmart

This product is really light and makes your skin feel pretty clean after you use it. I use this both in the morning and at night every day and it’s significantly helped my skin stay clean and nearly acne-free. Plus, the bottle is big enough to where it will last multiple months (for me, it usually lasts about 6 months per bottle) so it’s worth the money!

2. Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Facial Scrub – just over $6 at Walmart

This facial scrub is one of the best products that I use. I use this every other night, though you can use it daily or once or twice a week, depending on your specific routine and skin type. This scrub has not only helped with evening my skin tone and making me feel clean but it also really helps with blackheads and clogged pores. This is another one that lasts me about 4 months at a time, but that will vary depending on the frequency of usage.

3. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion with SPF 15 – about $10 at Walmart

This is one of the pricier items on the list, but it’s definitely worth the price in my opinion. I use this every day and it moisturizes my skin to where it’s not dry, all while avoiding feeling heavy and oily. This lasts me about 4 months as well, and I use a decent amount every morning. Plus, it has sunscreen built in, which is just an added bonus when it comes to taking care of your skin. Say goodbye to sun damage!

4. Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser – $4-$7 depending on where you go

This product makes my skin feel so clean and moisturized in the mornings that I have to talk about it. This cold cream helps lock in skin’s natural moisture and makes my skin feel amazing and refreshed when I wake up. There is also a Walgreens and CVS version that is a little cheaper and it works the same, so if you can’t find Pond’s, go for one of those, they’re just as great!

These products are great for anyone’s skin, but for those of you who care about skincare but don’t want the hassle of a 20-minute long cleansing routine, these products are for you! Once I started this routine, my skin transformed into smooth, hydrated, and happier skin than ever before and I have these products to thank for it. I hope they work for you and prove that you don’t need a complex routine to have great skin.
