Happy Holidays and best of luck on exams to all of you! So, if any of you are like me you might have gotten caught up with work and are behind on Christmas shopping.  The best last minute gift you can get anyone is a gift that’s giving back, so here are a few of my favorite gifts for a cause!

1.     One Bead

One Bead sells bracelets which have one recycled glass bead on a leather cord to benefit schools in Nairobi. The bracelets are available with many different color beads and two different options for the cord.  They have expanded to necklaces as well.  This would be a perfect gift for your funky philanthropist friend!

2.     Amazon Smile

Some of you may have already known, but for those that did not, check this out! Amazon Smile is just like regular Amazon, but it allows you to pick a charity to which a small percentage of your purchase will go.  It’s a really great way to do good while you’re doing your shopping!

3.     Local and Lejos

This company sells homemade products from Guatamala, Mexico, India, and Rwanda.  The company prides itself on selling unique products that are a part of the culture to which the women belong, like this beautiful blanket.  The products aren’t ideal for college life but they’d make a great gift for your mom or anyone in your life with a house to decorate.

4.     One Hope Wine

Be the best gifter ever with this.  It’s not just wine, it’s wine for a cause! The bottles are sold and the money goes to various charities, including providing clean drinking water, helping pets get adopted, and providing mammograms for women in need.  This is a wonderful gift for pretty much any wine drinker in your life, or just a gift for you! BONUS: They sell coffee too!

5.     The Brave Collection

More jewelry! These awesome necklaces and bracelets from The Brave Collection are beautiful and different.  Each bracelet is hand-woven and carved by women in Cambodia.  The charm says “Brave” in Khmer, the official language of Cambodia.

6.     Sudara

With the tagline “made from hope.  Made for comfort” it’s impossible to go wrong with a gift from Sudara.  All their products are made by women in India who are helping other women escape sex slavery.  Not only is it an amazing cause but also a very empowering one.  Their signature Punjammies are flannel pants with a super fun banarasi boarder, perfect for Christmas morning or your next slumber party!

7.     Bravelets

Last but certainly not least, Bravelets is a collection of totally customizable bracelets that can benefit the cause of your choice.  I had so much fun on this site and I think that this would be a wonderful gift, because you can pick a cause that’s close to their heart.  The bracelet below was designed by me and benefits Angel of Hope Animal Rescue.

I hope you all stay relaxed during this stressful time and have a truly wonderful holiday break!
