Beyoncé is a musical talent, a sexy, working mom, and an awesome (and self-proclaimed) modern-day feminist.

While the latter may be no secret to you, we thought you might want to be reminded…

1. She recently published this article on the state of gender equality.

2. When interviewed for Vogue UK, she said this about her own feminism:

3.She isn’t ashamed of her sexuality.

“I don’t at all have any shame on being sexual. I’m not embarrassed about it, and I don’t feel like I have to protect that side of me. Because I do believe that sexuality is a power that we all have.”

Here’s a translation of some of the French in “Partition”:

4. She’s a working mother.

5. She made a statement about beauty and body image with “Pretty Hurts”

6. Her Song “Who Run the World? (Girls)”

Most kick-ass lyrics: “We’re smart enough to make these millions, Strong enough to bear the children, Then get back to business.” “My persuasion can build a nation.”

7. She has proved to us that you can be a feminist and be feminine… or, really, you can be whatever you want to be.

8. She sparked an entire discussion on intersectionality in the feminist community.

9. She featured Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in her song “Flawless”

10. At the end of the day, she just wants us to be happy with who we are.

All hail, Queen Bey: Welcome to the Feminist Beyhive, ladies.
