Greek Week is coming to a close here at Seton Hall, ending with the ever famous Relay for Life event! One of the staples here at SHU is the strolling that goes on with all Greek organizations. Teams have been practicing for the whole week trying to perfect some of the most difficult routines to be performed throughout the week. The different kinds of Greek organizations team up in order to come up with dance routines unique to their groups. The moves are hip hop inspired while incorporating different signs and chants from each Greek organization.
We sat down and talked to some of the people involved in strolling this year and got their point of views. “I’ve loved strolling because it’s given me a new perspective on different organizations and because it teaches me how to twerk.” Said Teagan Sebba, a junior in Alpha Gamma Delta.
All students look forward to the strolling performance each Greek Week, but these dances are done year round by the different multi-cultural organizations throughout campus. They tend to perform on the Green during big events such as first night frenzy in the fall. Once the weather gets nice these dances can be seen even more frequently whenever enough members are around to perform one.
Strolling is one of the most unique parts of Seton Hall’s Greek life community and is something that is treasured by the student population. Shout out to all the talented people dancing in strolls during Greek Week and throughout the rest of the school year!
