Putting Things into Perspective

We’ve all been there: you take a test you know you are completely unprepared for or a paper that you know absolutely nothing about. You know you’re not going to get a good grade and that’s not even the most frustrating part.

We work—sometimes multiple jobs. We have internships. We have classes and the mountain of work that comes with them outside of class time. We are involved in extracurricular activities. We’re trying to find jobs. We have bills to pay. We’re trying to have fun. But with what time?

Some adults forget what it’s like to be a college student. Why are we expected to juggle so much and make time for it all, all without—you know—failing out???

In my time as a college student enduring the same balancing act as most of us, I realized something: it’s all going to be OK. One bad test grade or essay isn’t going to ruin your life. Yes, college—and life in general—is stressful. But, sometimes we all just need to take a step back and put things into perspective. We have the rest of our lives to be stressed. For now, let’s just enjoy being young while we can.
