Meet EC: Campus Correspondent Alexandra Gale

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Seton Hall chapter.

Meet our newest Campus Correspondent, Alexandra Gale! We’re so excited to have her on our exec board and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she accomplishes. Get to know her a little better below!

Her Campus (HC): What’s your favorite part about Her Campus?

Alexandra Gale (AG): I’ve only been a part of HC for a year and a half and I really can’t talk it up enough.  It gives collegettes the change to write about every topic (big and small) that they encounter daily.  Not to mention it’s nice from a reader standpoint to know that you’re not the only one with those experiences and thoughts.  I got the chance to work with HC headquarters as an extern during their College fashion Week NYC event.  I was so impressed with how much work HQ puts into the students.  Not only did they have that entire event for students to have the chance to model, but they also hired many students to help run the event to create even more opportunities for their writers.

HC: What made you want to take on a CC position?

AG: Her Campus does so much for their writers.  After externing with them, I realized how awesome the organization is even on a national level; that inspired me to want to work closer with HQ and be more involved in HerCampus.

HC: What’s your dream job?

AG: Ah this is a daunting question.  I really don’t have anything very specific in mind since there are so many things I would like to do with my life.  I really would like to use my time to make a positive impact in people’s lives in one way or another.  The other day someone suggested that I open my own yoga studio for people with arthritis which would be awesome!!

HC: Any advice to surviving Spring semester?

AG: STAY ORGANIZED!!!! Of course we all set goals for ourselves that are never really carried out throughout the whole semester, but keeping track of what’s due when really helps me stay on top of things.

HC: The Cove or the Caf?

AG: Definitely the caf.  I mean, I’m not the caf’s biggest fan, but at least there are some areas to cook for yourself so you can maintain somewhat of a healthy diet.  At the cove it’s all cheesy and greasy.

HC: What’s your favorite part about Seton Hall?

AG: My favorite part about SHU is the people.  I’ve met so many amazing people here that are so genuine.  My friends have really become my family and it’s weird living without them over breaks!

HC: Who is your ultimate celebrity crush who you wish was your professor?

AG: Okay so I usually don’t fangirl over celebs.  But if I really had to choose, Bob Morley from The 100 would definitely be nice to look at during class.

HC: What’s your secret talent?

AG: I really love yoga! I’m not a certified instructor or anything, but my friends will ask me to introduce it to them before they try a real class.  I’ve thought about getting certified just because I help people with it so much already!

While striving to become a high maintenance magazine girl, Rachel in the mean time, is a Senior Diplomacy major at Seton Hall. Obsessions include: her dog, airplanes, horoscopes (Cosmo astrologers are n e v e r wrong), and her sorority. When asked where she plans to be in 10 years Rachel responded "In 10 years I hope I'm either a very successful NYC woman or on vacation...either will do really."
