Butter Coffee

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Seton Hall chapter.

Happy National Coffee Day! Butter coffee is a recent fad that has swept the nation this year. It seems pretty weird, butter and coffee? But here’s the deal…

Putting butter in your coffee is a surprisingly good source of healthy fats. Granted, grass-fed butter is obviously better than your regular store brand. These fats are especially good for the brain and studies show that it helps to prevent some neurodegenerative diseases.

It also has been shown to help you burn fat all day when you drink it in the morning. This fat-burning process has been linked to a greater decrease in body fat in some individuals.

The butter also helps combat the crash you get when you drink coffee, and makes your energy boost last longer.

It’s a super easy recipe, even perfect for dorm-livers! All you need is a few tablespoons of your choice of butter mixed in with your coffee and enjoy! Yum!
