Every college student thinks that their major is difficult, and to be fair there probably are some aspects of it that actually are hard. But not everyone’s major is equally difficult. Some majors are just harder than others, and those students need some recognition for picking the hardest majors at Seton Hall.
1. Biology
Any science major is going to be difficult, but Bio majors definitely spend the majority of their time in the library. They have to deal with studying for tests and writing papers, just like the rest of us, but on top of that they have to take labs and write up lab reports. They have less time to do anything besides classes and homework because of the extra lab classes they have to take. Honestly, good luck to anyone who suffers through this major.
2. Nursing
Just like Bio majors, Nursing majors spend a ton of time studying in the library. They have to deal with clinicals and knowing which solution fits the problem. And really, where would we be without these hard working nurses?
3. Education
This major comes with a lot of pressure. You’re essentially studying the best ways to teach the tiny humans. The idea of being taught ways to teach is incredibly trippy, but this major is definitely one that is incredible important and hard. Majoring in education means you also need to double major in something else, and then you also have to do placements and actually help teach the tiny humans for a semester. There’s just so much time, dedication, and passion that goes into this major which makes it one of the hardest majors here.
4. Accounting
To be fair, I think that any business major is hard because the classes to earn a business degree seem extremely difficult. But that could also just be the fact that business is the exact opposite of my majors of writing and more writing (aka Journalism and Creative Writing). There’s so much that goes into accounting that I don’t even understand, which makes it a hard major to me.
