Top 5 Movies You Have to See this Summer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Seattle U chapter.

1. Finding Dory (June 17). This one is a no-brainer. It’s taken them 12+ years to finally make the sequel, and I am tired of waiting! I remember when I first saw Finding Nemo in theatres with my grandma, when I was like, seven. This one is going to be nostalgic…

2. The BFG (July 1). I was so happy when I heard they were making one of my favorite Roald Dahl books into a movie. I’m excited to see what they do with it!

3. The Secret Life of Pets (July 8). My taste in movies is equivalent to that of a twelve-year-old, but as an ardent pet-lover, I am so excited about this. My sister and I have always loved to joke about what our dogs do when we’re not home, and I’m sure this one will be relatable for any animal-lover.

4. Suicide Squad (August 5). I’m not big on super-hero movies, but this one I am definitely going to see. Cara Delevingne and Margo Robbie? Count me in.

All hail the goddesses!

5. The Little Prince (August 5, on Netflix). If you haven’t read this book, you need to. It’s my absolute favorite children’s book, and it’s so much more than that. It’s about life, and the beauty of it, as well as the sorrow. Watch the trailer and you’ll get a glimpse of what’s in store.
