After more than a month of secret wedding rumors, Kanye West has confirmed that he and his supermodel bride Kim Kardashian were married on Friday night in Florence, Italy. The ceremony followed a week of celebration in France with extended family and close friends.

Kim and her infamous sisters spent the entire week tweeting and Instagramming more than enviable shots of their time in France– from partying in the palace of Versailles to Kim’s “last supper” as a single woman to a brunch hosted by Valentino himself in honor of the nuptials.

The celebration at Versailles was fit for a queen in more ways than one: in addition to being one of the most traditionally baroque and extravagant palaces in Europe, the castle hosted a surprise performance by Lana del Rey that evening. The family spent the day on the royal grounds doing what any woman would do in her situation: taking pictures in the same place Marie Antoinette famously decreed, “let them eat cake”!

Apart from a few pictures documenting the entrance to the wedding, the world hasn’t seen any photos of the wedding itself. This is certainly a change from Kim’s wedding to Kris Humphries in 2011, which was made into a television special- complete with several reality TV episodes to lead-up to the event. We’re waiting to see if they’ll publish any photos, or if Kim’s third wedding will forever remain under wraps!
