What do you love most about Seattle University?
My favorite part of SU is the community. I have had to privilege of meeting so many people who have informed my time at SU in a challenging and positive way. SU has given me such an incredible venue to know amazing people, whether that be my peers, or the faculty and staff.
What made you want to get involved with New Student and Family programs and become and OC?
Being an OA was an awesome experience for me, one that I hold in high regard. However, where I felt most useful lined up with the Orientation Coordinator position more. I had a great group of OCs to lead my orientation experience and I wanted to have the role for the next group of OAs.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favorite job was seeing the OAs lead their small groups and being so invested in the New Student’s lives. It made all the training and all the planning worth it see a group of individuals deeply find value in their job.
What’s one piece of advice you want to give the new students as they embark on their journey here at Seattle U?
My advice would be to figure out what gives you comfort. Maybe that is alone time, maybe that is being surrounded my your friends, maybe it is sitting in the chapel. Whatever it is, find out what it is and use it.
We know you are also involved with the band COHO, what can we expect to see from the band in the near future?
You can be expecting more songs on our Facebook page. We are also in the beginning stages of making and EP. Until then, keep an eye out for our shows we have going on around Seattle and come and listen to some music!
