Haley Jo’s pick: the braided headband

If you’re growing out your bangs like I am, braids will quickly become your best friends. Braided “headbands” are a great and easy way to keep your hair out of your face.

This super simple tutorial will show you how to achieve a “braided headband”.

I use this on one side of my head, or sometimes both (see below)!

Brittany’s pick: the milkmaid braid

I start with pigtails, braid them, and then proceed to wrap them around either side of my head. Attach with bobby pins!

Overlap and cover hair ties for a seamless look!

I love this look for yoga! It’s great for keeping all of your hair out of your face, and is a fun way to stray from the usual go-to bun.

Check out this tutorial for an easy milkmaid braid on our Pinterest page!

I am a senior at Seattle University, studying both Communications and Spanish. My passions lie in fashion, social justice, writing, and editorial work. I am looking forward to being a Campus Correspondant with Her Campus, and can't wait to create a unique space online with the students of Seattle University.
