If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?

Flying because I don’t know why anyone would choose anything different.

Who is your celebrity crush and why?

Benedict Cumberbatch because most of his characters appeal to my nerdy side.

Finish this sentence: I don’t trust people who…

don’t goof off in public.

What do you think your patronus would be?

A giraffe or a sea turtle.

What’s a favorite childhood story about yourself?

My whole family was gathered at my grandparents’ house, and I wanted to play with my uncle. I said, “Uncle Eric, you come here right now, and I’m serious about this!” My aunt asked, “Mal, what’s the magic word?” And I said, “Right now?” I was three.

What would the title of your autobiography be and why?

“Making Mistakes and Making It.” I mess up a lot but somehow it always ends up working out okay.

What movie/TV/book character do you most strongly identify with and why?

Any strong female lead, but right now it’s a tie between Alicia Florrick (The Good Wife) and Leslie Knope (Parks and Rec).

What 3 things would you bring with you to a deserted island?

Cereal, Netflix, and a towel (because sand in the wrong places is super uncomfortable).

What’s your favorite part about living in Seattle?

I love the first days of warm weather when everyone busts out their summer clothes, like it’s the only thing they’ve been waiting to do for nine months.

Who inspires you in life/who’s your role model?

Probably my mom. She’s the most determined and intelligent and all around badass woman I’ve ever met. I hope I turn out like her.

My self-determination.

What is a legacy you hope to leave behind?

I want people to know I made a difference, and changed someone’s life for the better.
