HC: How would you describe yourself using 5 words?
Joe: I’ve been sleeping late lately.
HC: Who is your role model? Why?
Joe: I have many! Lately I’ve really been looking up to David Byrne of The Talking Heads. I love their music, and was mind blown after watching their live footage from “Stop Making Sense.” I pretty much look up to those who see the world through a different lens, and maybe even are seen as strangers to others, yet have the incredible ability to connect with so many people through their art. I appreciate those who enjoy making things weird; they have the option to flow with the norm, but instead decide to bring people into their own world. Other role models I have are Vincent Van Gogh, Ana Kras, Ian Curtis, and David Choe.
HC: If you were stranded in a TV show for a month which would you choose?
Joe: Definitely Kenan and Kel. If ya have the time to do so, I’d recommend going to Youtube and watching an episode.
HC: If you could retire tomorrow, what would you spend the rest of your life doing?
Joe: Probably go to school. There’s a lot I need to learn still!!! After that…maybe a combination of taking photos of people, sleeping, and tackling this project I’ve been working on called Friends and Friends of Friends.
HC: Who is your celebrity crush?
Joe: Winona Ryder 4SURE
HC: Favorite bands?
Joe: Animal Collective, Modest Mouse, Joy Division, Destruction Unit. Also I have really been appreciating the new albums from Kendrick Lamar and Earl Sweatshirt. ALSO this song by Ervinna and The Stylers called It Never Rains in Southern California!!!
