Female Vocalists Who Are Killin’ It

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SDSU chapter.

There are few things better than a day spent listening to the best female artists in the game. This list filled with powerful female vocalists is for those days you’re out for blood or just have a really cute outfit on and want to strut it out:

1. Me & My Girls by Selena Gomez

I know you’re thinking, Selena Gomez, really? But trust me with this one–this song gets better and better each time you listen to it. You will most definitely be walking to the beat within the first 2 seconds.

2. Breakin’ Dishes by Rihanna

This one will make you want give everyone you see the s*** eye, so bring some sunglasses.

3. Can’t Be Tamed by Miley Cyrus

Don’t let the bird cage keep you hostage—walk down Campanile like you own the entire school. People will start giving you their tuition checks.

4. Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks

Does this song every get old to you? Because I can scream this at the top of my lungs while driving all day, everyday.

5. Family Affair by Mary J. Blige

This song is fire, I promise.

6. Independent Women Pt. 1 by Destiny’s Child

Sing this to your significant other. My only complaint is that there was never a Part 2.?

7. London Bridge by Fergie

You know this song was pure gold the first time you heard it. Am I the only one hoping Fergie will return again?

8. Man! I Feel Like a Woman by Shania Twain

After growing up listening to Shania Twain, you would think I would be tired of this song. Wrong! This song a CLASSIC ANTHEM.

9. Sour Cherry by The Kills

Picture yourself walking in slow motion with the wind blowing through your hair as you get ready kill the upcoming test.

10. Do My Thang by Miley Cyrus

One of Miley’s more underrated songs, in my opinion.

Probably complaining or making a joke. Instagram: @jennheinzel
