“Fall” in Love with This Drink

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SDSU chapter.

As of September 22nd, fall has officially arrived! This year more than ever, I’ve been extra excited about all things ✨fall✨. The brisk air, changing leaves, and, of course, all things pumpkin flavored!

I think Starbucks on the other hand is the most excited out of all of us because they launched their fall drinks and snacks as of August 24th! We are all familiar with the notorious Pumpkin Spice Latte, but for non-coffee drinkers and others who are not a fan, I have the perfect drink for you.

Next time you go to Starbucks, order an iced chai latte with two pumps of pumpkin syrup and pumpkin cream cold foam! This drink has all the flavors of fall: pumpkin, cinnamon, and spice! I even suggest ordering it with oat milk for a healthier, dairy-free alternative! Personally, I even think the oat milk gives it a better flavor.

As a busy college student, caffeine is a must! If you can spare any time in your day to wait in the Starbucks line, I promise this drink will be worth it. I recommend drinking it during your afternoon study break outside while enjoying the ever-so-slight fall breeze we have in San Diego. Or, if you’re like me and have 8 a.m. classes every day, use this drink as a reward for waking up early. I like to get in every last minute of sleep with just enough time to get to class. So this drink is something I reward myself with afterward, and it is worth all the wait!

Sip on the best fall vibes and treat yourself with this coffee-free and dairy-free drink! There are no promises, but it might make living in San Diego feel like it’s actually fall and not endless summer!

Hello! My name is Erin Barker and I'm studying Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations at San Diego State University. I was born and raised in the Denver area and always knew I wanted to go out-of-state at a campus with warm weather! SDSU was my dream school so it was a no-brainer when I got in that I'd soon be packing my bags. You can find me at any beach tanning, eating all the Cacio e Pepe in Little Italy, or getting boba! When I'm not here in San Diego studying I'm back home visiting family and my three dachshunds in Colorado! I have a passion for my faith, fashion, traveling, building quality friendships, and putting family first. I'm so grateful to be part of the Her Campus community to have a space to write creatively!
