Studying in the same spot for lengthy amounts of time is exhausting. Oftentimes, you find yourself re-reading the same sentence over and over again, or even falling asleep. If you can relate, that means it’s time to change up your study location. Here are some study spots on campus that will help you stay focused and on task.

  1. Storm Hall West Outdoor Patio

Storm Hall West’s outdoor patio is a great place to study and unwind. The lounge chairs are comfy and the view is stunning, especially at sunset. Whether you’re a night owl, or need a quiet place to grind out an assignment, the outdoor patio is for you. Not only does it light up at night, but there’s a beautiful view of the stars in the sky. And if you feel like you need a snack, Starbucks and the Aztec Market are just around the corner!

  1. The Turtle Pond

The Turtle Pond is another relaxing place to get your work done. There are tables surrounding the pond where you can sit in the shade and watch the coy fish swim. You can also choose to sit on the grassy hill for your study session since the turtle pond can get crowded depending on the time of day. Aside from that, it is an excellent spot to eat lunch and accomplish some work for classes.

  1. Aztec Student Union

Another popular study location is the Aztec Student Union. The open-aired courtyard has a variety of tables to sit at and is surrounded by restaurants such as The Habit, Chipotle, and Shake Smart. The courtyard is quite spacious and gets plenty of natural light. Be careful though because it can get hot at times, but that’s okay since you can go upstairs to the second or third story. Unlike the courtyard, the second and third floors have more shade while still allowing you to enjoy  the pleasant, outdoor breeze. From these floors, you can also get a breathtaking view of campus.

  1. Love Library

You can never go wrong with studying at the Love Library. The 24/7 area is available to students who are busy grinding out their assignments. You can’t help but feel motivated to finish your work as well. There are soft couches, computers, tables, whiteboards, and study rooms that are available for students to use. If you feel like you need a snack, no worries! There are different sections of the library that allow you to enjoy your snacks without needing to hide.

  1. Starbucks

Starbucks is a go-to place for getting your work done. Located near the Aztec Student Union, this Starbucks is filled with wide tables and comfy leather couches. You can stay busy and focused in this cafe setting, where you can also purchase a selection of baked goods and coffee beverages. If the Starbucks near the Aztec Student Union gets busy, you can also try going to the Starbucks across from Broken Yolk and Trader Joe’s.
