Wicked has been taking the world by storm for the past year, and now, the long-awaited part two comes to theaters on November 21st! As a long-time Wicked fan, I am obsessed with everything Wicked, which is why fans were disappointed when Wicked didn’t win as many awards as they should have. I’m here to talk all things Wicked and what this film has done for many fans.

Wicked is a tale of “good” and “evil”, but is it? Wicked shows us the perspectives of both the good witch and wicked witch, Elphaba and Glinda. The first movie showed fans the power of female friendship and standing up for what you believe in. Not only were the fans delighted with the movie, but the actors themselves are fully involved in this process.

For many, the first movie represented a childlike wonder and a love for music and storytelling. It allowed for many fans to connect to each other and embrace the wicked love. Fans express the joy of the movie bringing to life the play version.

The directors of the new movie plan to do the same thing. The second part of Wicked is set during a more troubling time for the characters. Fans are excited for the combination of the Wizard of Oz charm and the characters we all know and love. This second part of the movie allows for fans of all ages to share the joy of Oz.

Fans all around the world have been waiting for the Wicked universe to be finished. The incredible amount of media present for these movies are unreal. There are Tik-Tok trends, cosplay, and movie tours. Fans’ voices are building up the movie. Critics have always raved about the popularity of the movie, so fans wonder why the nominations weren’t there.

I believe that this second movie will combat these low winnings because fans are ready to vote. Additionally, Wicked is now finished for start to end, showing the whole experience, which is something movies have never done before. This movie breaks records, and that’s why it will be another Wicked year.
