Building a makeup collection can be an overwhelming process- especially if you don’t know much about makeup or where to start. As someone with a makeup addiction and seemingly never-ending collection, I’ve noticed there are definitely certain products that have become part of my everyday routine and I find myself reaching for above other filler products that are taking up space in my drawers. Whether you know absolutely nothing and need some advice on where to start or a fellow makeup guru and are looking for some new products to add, this article is for you!

Primer: Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base Priming Moisturizer

Price: $60.00

For my primer I can’t live without, I have to go with this one from Bobbi Brown. Not only do you get two in one (primer and moisturizer) but it makes your skin feel amazing and makeup last all day. This primer is packed with vitamins B, C, and E, leaving your skin healthy and glowing. It is a little bit on the pricier side but for me, it’s worth every penny.

Foundation: Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Foundation

Price: $43.00

This foundation was truly a game changer for me. I have heard excellent reviews (I mean, duh, it’s an allure beauty winner) but once I tried out this product for myself, I understood the hype around it. Now, if you are looking for a light to medium coverage foundation, this foundation won’t be for you. As someone with acne issues and scarring, this foundation really does the job when it comes to hiding any imperfections and really does last a full day. The finish is matte and it tends to perform better for more oily complexations so if that isn’t what you’re looking for, this won’t be for you. Overall, 10/10 foundation for me!

Concealer: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

Price: $30.00

Again, for someone that has been dealing with acne since a young age, I’ve tried pretty much every concealer under the sun. Some don’t stay, others don’t match or blend. This NARS concealer really does it all. It’s buildable, high coverage, stay-in-place, and blendable. Truly a dream come true, and I couldn’t survive a single day without it!

Setting Powder: Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

Price: $39.00

Honestly, out of all these holy grail productions this just may be the most important one for me. Having an oily complexion, I always found my foundation and concealer moving as well as my skin glistening after only an hour of wear. Now that I use this setting powder, it keeps the oil at bay, my foundation intact, and my makeup looking flawless. It’s basically a real-life blender tool on Facetune and I can’t live without it.

Bronzer: Marc Jacobs Beauty O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect Tan

Price: $49.00

A perfect bronzer for a warm glow. Very buildable and easily blendable. Bonus points for not looking like you just got a bad spray tan after using it!

Blush: NARS Blush in the shade Orgasm

Price: $30.00

This blush is simply perfect. It looks amazing on a huge range of skin tones, is buildable, and has a gorgeous glisten to it. My absolute favorite as a blush lover!

Eyeshadow: NARS Wanted Eyeshadow Palette

Price: $59.00

Basically, I got this for Christmas two years ago and legitimately haven’t put it down since. Which is huge for me considering I have quite a plethora of palettes. This NARS one really does it for me. You can create so many looks and it is definitely a very natural palette, but still has some opportunity for some spice. The matte shades are super pigmented and blendable, where the shimmers have insane payoff. Totally worth it!

Mascara: Dior Diorshow Mascara

Price: $29.50

Everything about this mascara is mind-blowing for me. It pretty much does it all. It separates, lengthens, adds volume and basically pulls your whole look together. Truly a holy grail product!
