The University of Scranton has officially launched a Love Your Melon Campus Crew and we need you to help spread the word!
What is LYM?Love Your Melon was founded in an entrepreneurship class at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota by two friends, Zach and Brian. On a mission to improve the lives of children battling cancer since October 22nd, 2012, it was founded on the simple concept of putting a hat on every child battling cancer in America. The hats are donated in person at the hospitals by campus ambassadors dressed as superheroes. For every hat you buy, a child with cancer receives one!
How far has LYM come since starting in 2012?LYM has reserved more than 45,000 hats to donate to children battling cancer, which just so happens to be the number of children currently undergoing cancer treatment in the US.
Does LYM work with other organizations?Yes, in fact it has partnered with two: the Pinky Swear Foundation and CureSearch for Children’s Cancer.
