Without a doubt, I feel as though anyone who is college-aged right now feels a certain type of way when they hear songs from the 2000’s decade. A lot of times, it only takes the first few seconds of a song’s intro to take us back to a certain point in our lives. For me, I don’t think there is a better genre of music from the 2000s than what I call “Kohl’s music.” These are songs that I picture playing as I walked through Kohl’s with my mom in elementary school. These songs have such a certain vibe to them…happy… yet sad. I hope you see what I mean:

• How to Save a Life – The Fray

• Someday- Rob Thomas

• Apologize- OneRepublic

• Need You Now- Lady A

• Chasing Cars- Snow Patrol

• Come on Get Higher- Matt Nathanson

• You’re Beautiful- James Blunt

• Smile- Uncle Kracker

• Over My Head- The Fray

• Secrets- OneRepublic

• Hey There Delilah- Plain White T’s

• You Found Me- The Fray

• She Will be Loved- Maroon Five

• Waiting on the World to Change- John Mayer

• Breakeven- The Script

Hi! I am Brooke and I am a student at the University of Scranton. I am majoring in Occupational Therapy. When I am not cramming in school work (lol) I love spending my time with friends going out to eat, shopping, watching movies, and more. I am a new member to HC this year and I am very excited to see where this experience brings my friends and me!
