Ever since I was little, I have had obsession with Halloween. Whenever I came home from school and my mom would have the whole house decorated for the holiday, it would make me so excited. My mom would also always take us to a pumpkin patch, and we would get cider donuts and then come home and carve pumpkins! It’s a tradition I really love and it created such a positive idea of Halloween for me! Here are some of my favorite things to do during October.

Making Halloween themed snacks

Making sugar cookies in shape of pumpkins are so fun and really help get into the holiday vibe! I also love to make Halloween snack boards with Halloween candy like candy corn. It can be so fun to do with friends or when you have some free time.

Watching Horror/Halloween movies

I love watching movies at this time of year! My personal favorites include Halloweentown, Twitches, The It’s Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, and The Nightmare Before Christmas! I love snuggling up in a cozy blanket with some snacks and watching these on a cool October night!

Going to a Haunted Hayride or House

With everything going on with the pandemic right now it might be hard to do these types of things this year but in years past these are really fun things to do with friends! It really gets you into the spooky spirit of Halloween!

Decorating

Decorating for Halloween is seriously the best. Pulling out the pumpkins, bats, and other spooky decor really can be so much fun. I think it is so cool when people have a certain theme and really go all out! It is so fun to see the creativity that others have!

Halloween is seriously just one of the best Holidays ever in my opinion. I really think that there are so many great things that you can do during this time of year to really make the most of it! So, I’m going to pull out my favorite candy to go watch a Halloween movie and get in the spirit! Happy Halloween Everyone!
