Everyone knows the Victoria Secret Fashion Show is one of the top fashion shows in the world. This year the show is on December Fifth in Paris, France at the Grand Palais. Castings for the show started on October Twenty-Fourth. Last year for the 2015 show, the big favorites included Gigi Hadid and Kendell Jenner. However, this year Bella Hadid, who is Gigi’s younger sister is the fan favorite. At the young age of twenty, Bella Hadid won model of the year by GQ magazine in 2016, as well as earning a spot in the top fifty models by Model.com.
The fashion show will be missing major Angels, Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo, who recently become mothers. But the show will include angels Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, and especially Jasmine Tookes who will be wearing the coveted fantasy bra. The fantasy bra, which was created by Eddie Borgo has about nine thousand gemstones on it. The bra will cost Three Million dollars. The bra was completed within seven hundred hours, and weighs over four hundred and fifty carats. Recently becoming a model with Victoria Secret in 2015, they chose to select Tookes and feature her with the fantasy bra.
The official website for the fashion show shares an informational video about what to exactly expect in areas of venue, design and casting. The Grand Palais has a beautiful glass roof which is discussed in the video. They could not decide whether to have the show in the afternoon for the exposed light or at night. The show will include six themes: the road ahead, secret angel, mountain romance, pink nation, dark angel, bright night angel. The fantasy bra will be in the Bright Night Angel collection. Every year the castings get bigger and bigger with more girls showing up trying to get a spot to land their career.
