Meet two of SCAD’s favorite campus cuties. Hannah Pleasant and Ebony Victor both have infectious personalities that leave you with a smile. The best part? They are roommates!
Name: Hannah Pleasant
Major: Accessory Design
Hometown: Cleveland, Ohio
Her Campus: You’re majoring in accessory design with a concentration on shoes. What interests you in designing these wardrobe essentials?
Hannah Pleasant: I’ve known what I wanted to do since I was 14 years old. I wear a size 12 so it has always been hard finding cute shoes in larger sizes. I aspire to help out all the ladies with extended sizes because the struggle is real.
HC: What part of your personal style would you like to incorporate into your designs?
Hannah: My personal style fluctuates but I love being edgy, it makes me feel like a B.A.
HC: This was your first time at SCAD Style week right?
Hannah: Yes.
HC: What were your overall thoughts?
Hannah: SCAD style was very inspiring. It was an experience I will never forget. I appreciate the time each lecturer took out of their busy schedules to deliver The personal connections and genuine advice. Honestly, just being in the presence of people who are killing the fashion industry was priceless.
HC: You’re a confident and humorous young woman. It’s clear that you’re dedicated to academics with the hopes of a successful career. What would a guy need to do in order to land a date with you?
Hannah: Campus life presents itself as a Sahara desert when it comes to potential candidates for a date. However, if they are real, tall and actually have the confidence to approach a strong black woman like myself then let me know.

Name: Ebony Victor
Major: Writing
Hometown: Deptford, NJ
HC: Your major changed from fashion marketing to writing. Was this a difficult decision for you and would you be able to combine the two?
Ebony Victor: Changing my major was a very difficult decision. I’ve wanted to do fashion since I was 8, but as we grow our passions change. I still love fashion so an ideal job would be becoming a fashion editor for a magazine.
Â
HC: Who is a writer you admire and why?
Ebony: J.K. Rowling. Simply because she worked hard, never gave up and made her dreams come true. Perseverance is a very admirable quality. Plus she wrote some of the best books ever written.
Â
HC: What’s your favorite book that you recommend everyone reads?
Ebony: Wow, really tough question. The last book I read was Perks of Being a Wallflower, which was amazing. But I’ve read so many books that I can’t decide.
Â
HC: We’re passed midterms and the quarter will be over before we know it. Do
you have any exciting activities planned before it ends?
Ebony: Well my mom is coming to visit this weekend. Then there are activities like the Sand Arts and Sidewalk Arts festivals, which should be really fun. Two of my good friends have birthdays this month, so lots of celebrating.
Â
HC: You’re a spontaneous and caring person who has a bubbly personality. Do
you look for similar characteristics in a guy?
Ebony: Of course. It’s good to be with a guy who challenges you, but at the same time you want to be with someone who shares your characteristics so that you can relate to each other and have a good time.
Â
HC: What is your ideal date night?
Ebony: Definitely somewhere unique. I’d want to go somewhere like a museum, or an amusement park, or a basketball game. Somewhere that’s exciting and fun. I love to eat, but dinner and a movie is so clichĂ©.
