Comfy, Cozy and Cute

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SCAD chapter.

Ever wonder what to wear when your staying in-doors with your girls, your group of friends, or with bae? Here is what I would do.

Getting Cozy With Your Girl Friends

After a long week of grueling exams for your finals, you and your girls are in need of a well-deserved ladies night. But forget going out! It’s all about being at home, surrounded by big fluffy pillows, watching movies, talking about boys, and eating a whole bunch of junk food because you’ve earned!

Yet even though I’m with my girls I still find myself wanting to be cute (guilty!). So for my go to girls-night-in look, I want to rock comfy with sweats yet still cute by selecting bright colors and a cute top.  Here I have my bright pink sweats from Victoria Secret, a black graphic crop top from Choies.com, and of course you can never go wrong with cute fluffy socks (given to me by my roommate).

Getting Cozy With Your Crew

Be prepared for a long night of laughs, countless, stories, and who knows what. With your mixed group of friends, anything is possible!  So what do you wear for times like this?  Well when I was trying to figure that out, I actually came up with two different look:

This first look is very laid back. Here I have my black leggings that are studded at the ankle ( sorry I can’t remember where I got these), paired with a soft hoodie from Forever 21, and my white and grey Nike Jordan’s .

This second look is dressier, but to me is still comfortable (and defiantly cute).  This is great if your friend’s deicide that they want to go out instead of staying in all night. I love to make a statement so this cute graphic T-shirt from Choies.com was a must for me. Paired with this fux leather jacket/hoodie, slightly distressed and ripped jeans ( American Eagle), and some ankle boots and I’m ready to go! And if you have a cute bag (like this milk carton one I got form SheInSide.com!) go ahead and throw that into the mix.

Getting Cozy With Bae

Netflix and Chill? Well whatever you decide to do, you know two things: You don’t want to look like you tried too hard, and you don’t want to like you didn’t try at all.  This is the point where we as women sometimes will sacrifice comfy for cute, but I say nay! There is defiantly a way to achieve comfy and cute, and for me that is all about the sweater.

Here I have a beautiful pastel pink sweater, that I love because of it’s quilt-like texture. It adds another dimension to the outfit that gives this sweater something more ( from Forever 21). Paired with it are the same black leggings and some black flats. To dress this up a bit I would go with a simple long chain necklace, or add a couple more if you like that layering affect. Now you are comfy AND cute. Defiantly cuddle worthy #goalachieved.

So what do think? Can you see yourself rocking some these looks in a similar way? Would you change something or do something completely different? What would that be? Share with me, I would love to know.
