Campus Celebrity: Madison Bildahl

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SCAD chapter.

Name: Madison Bildahl

Year: Junior

Major: Fashion Marketing & Management

HC: What made you decide to come to SCAD?

MB: I’ve excelled in art my whole life. It was always my favorite subject in school, but it was also something I had a strong passion and interest in. With my creative mind, and love for art and fashion, I made the decision to study Fashion Marketing & Management. Of all the schools I looked at, I felt that SCAD was the best fit for me. I was also drawn to beautiful, warm and sunny Savannah from my hometown in Bozeman, Montana.

HC: How did you get into modeling?

MB: I started modeling at a very young age, but it wasn’t until I came to SCAD that I started to take it more seriously. A few of my friends who study photography asked to photograph me for their various projects. Quickly one thing lead to the next, and the next thing I know tons of students and people in the local community were asking me to model for them.

HC: What has your experience been with modeling since you’ve been in Savannah?

MB: Positive… most of the time. You have to remember that I’m working with students, and most students (including me) don’t always have a lot of money, time, and resources. So we work with what we’ve got, and try to create the best possible outcome. I’ve been very fortunate to work with some of SCAD’s most talented students. I’m equally grateful to the wonderful people I have met through modeling in Savannah. I’ve built long lasting relationships with some of the photographers and creative team members from shoots.

HC: Are you involved in any other extracurricular activities?

MB: Do yoga and cooking count as extracurricular activities?

HC: Absolutely! What is one of your favorite memories/moments from your time at SCAD so far?

MB: The SCAD Fashion Show every spring! I also enjoy the Savannah Film Festival in the fall.

HC: What are your plans for after you graduate?

MB: I don’t have any set plans for after I graduate; wherever my career takes me. I’d love to live in Europe, but there are also a few cities in the US I’m interested in checking out, as well.
