Kylie x Balmain

If you haven’t already heard or read about Kylie’s continuously growing Kylie Cosmetics empire, leading her to be the world’s youngest billionaire, then you know that she’s constantly finding ways to expand her business. Her latest collaboration was with Balmain which dropped during Paris Fashion Week (PWF) this year.

She started by hinting her work with Rousteing, the fashion designer and creative director of Balmain, with an Instagram picture in which she wore pink, purple, ombre and blue eyeshadow with some caramel colored lip color. Kylie states that the inspiration for this palette developed from her pink couture jumpsuit she wore to the 61st Grammy’s. Her vision for the girls during PFW had a common theme but still would be unique in way that it went hand-in-hand with the each individual model’s skin tone and outfit.

This drop includes three new pastel colored products which match with Rousteing’s SS 2020 pieces for PFW. The first is a new High Gloss in Model Behavior, a shimmer-y cotton-candy pink. The Lip Kit in Paris contains pink blush-colored liquid lipstick and a chocolate colored lip pencil and finally her 9-pan KyShadow palette which has icy metallic tints. Though she fell sick and wasn’t able to make it in the end, she did her best to show her support from Calabasas for the models who looked nothing less than bold and glamorous in her make-up on the runway. She says, “the collection is a perfect blend of our personalities and visions, with one goal at the heart of it: to make everyone who wears it feel confident, beautiful and authentically themselves.”
