No longer do you have an excuse to skip out on those unfinished projects you’ve given up on. No more excuses for being bored at home. Now is the time to keep your creativity going while under quarantine. There are many ways you can stay creative at home. Here are some neat suggestions:

Create a bullet journal

I’ve always wanted to try this. Keep a journal and document your day or your schedule and make it as your own. Add in some cute drawings if you’re artistic or if you have great penmanship, get creative with your writing style. Your bullet journal should be your own personal diary, planner, or whatever you want it to be.

Paint something new

Get out your acrylic and watercolor paint and brushes and get creative by painting something. Take the time out of your day to paint anything you like. To make it more relaxing, go outside and do it if it’s a sunny day. Painting is a fun way to bring out your creative side. You don’t even have to be good, just let your creativity take over.

At home photoshoots

I’ve seen a lot of “At-Home” photo shoots on social media and they look awesome. If you love taking pictures of yourself or others in your home, go to Pinterest or check out Instagram or YouTube for some inspiration on how to do photo shoots at home. Use a self-timer and a tripod for better pics, as well. You’ll be surprised by what type of photos you can take and how great they turn out.

Make videos for YouTube, Instagram IGTV, etc.

This is a fun hobby I’ve been doing for a while now. You can make videos on DIYs, cooking videos, grocery hauls, fashion hauls, or whatever you like. This is the perfect opportunity to express your creativity to others virtually. Share your content with the world!

Get into photography

Remember when I mentioned doing “At-Home” photo shoots? How about taking photos of other things, as well. You can get creative and take photos of anything around your house or outside your home. Flowers, trees, room spaces, appliances, etc. are good examples. It may sound silly, but think of the aesthetics you can make out of those kinds of pictures. Aesthetic shots are the way to go.

Start a blog

If you love writing and blogging, consider starting your own blog. It takes a lot of time and dedication to create content, especially articles. But if you stick with a routine and remember to stay true to your work, you can be great at making articles regularly. Your blog can be about whatever you want. Just remember to have fun doing it.

The process of translating various topics into a collection of garments after intensive research and visual development, makes me feel empowered because it is a unique medium of self-expression.
