5 Oscars & The Vanity Fair After Party 2019 Biggest Trends

Lights, Camera, Fashion! This year’s Oscar red carpet looks certainly did not disappoint in gender-bending fashion. From Billy Porters Christian Siriano velvet tuxedo gown to celebs coming hot with some hot pink, capes, pantsuits, feathers, “modern armor, “naked” dresses, to an ice cream sugar shake pastel dream color hue, fashion was the star of the night.

1. The “New Tuxedo” AKA. Pantsuits – Who says men have to wear the pants all the time in fashion? Celebs proved on the red carpet that the rules can be broken. With these sleek and chic menswear-inspired looks gives it a new and inventive gender-breaking way to wearing a traditional tuxedo. Just take a page of these celebs book.

                                                          

2. The “Naked” Dress A.K.A. The Sheer Dress – No clothes! No problem! These star flaunting in their “birthday suit” at the Vanity Fair After Party. These celebs did not come to play with this sheer, skin-bearing sexy ensemble.

3. Feathers – As the saying goes “birds with a feather flocks together” and these celebs definitely flocked to these fancy looks with on and off the red carpet with Lupita Nyong’o looking as fly as a feather on the Vanity Fair after party and funny women Chrissy Teigen. 

4. A Pop of Pastel –  “I scream you scream we all scream for these ice cream pastel colors”. These pastel color are sweet as sugar and these celebs are rocking these mint greens, baby blue, and pale pink which is a big trend this spring. It adds a sweet touch and feminine addition to the red carpet this year. 

5. Hot Pink – We saw previously on the Grammy’s red carpet that hot pink was a “hot” thing on the red carpet. It is official this color has become the hot new color of the red carpet season with these celebs such as Angela Baskett with this fuschia ruffle sleeve ensemble.
