The Upcoming Concerts and Albums You Need To Know About

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SBU chapter.

If you are like me, you absolutely love going to concerts and listening to music any chance you get. This last year has been crazy music wise; controversy was created, history was made, new solo artists broke out, or you were waiting forever for your favorite artist to release their new album. With the new year coming up, lots of upcoming album projects have been announced and tour dates have been shaking the world.

Some of the tours that are taking over the world and making fans feel crazed include:

  • Kanye West, Saint Pablo Tour
  • Twentyone Pilots, Emotional Roadshow (which was one of the best concerts I have ever been to.)
  • Sia, Nostalgic for the Present
  • Chance the Rapper
  • Ariana Grande, Dangerous Woman Tour
  • Mac Miller, The Divine Feminine
  • Beyoncé, Formation Tour (even though it ended earlier this month, this tour even caused a lot of riots to occur due to racial ideas)
  • The Red Hot Chili Peppers

The music world has shocked us over the last few years, and the albums that are making a name for themselves in the world include:

  • Eminem (rumored to be working on an album, which might mean a possible upcoming tour, and my heart shattering).
  • Niall Horan (just released a song called “This Town” and has spoken out about working on an upcoming album and touring for it)
  • Frank Ocean’s highly anticipated album Blonde
  • Kanye West’s Life of Pablo
  • Lady Gaga’s Joanne
  • Sia’s This is Acting
  • Mac Millers the Divine Feminine
  • Zayn’s Mind of Mine (the album that really shook directioners)
  • The Weeknd’s False Alarm
  • Solange’s A Seat at the Table
  • Beyoncé’s Lemonade (because we cannot forget the album that made the whole world question whether or not love was real and brought racial problems to the Super Bowl 2016)
  • The Rolling Stones, Blue and Lonesome (will be released December 2nd and I’m already so excited)

There are so many more albums and tours that are occurring in our future around the world, but these are the ones as of right now which will provide the best concert experience around. With lots of breaks coming from artists such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, One Direction (supposedly just a “hiatus” but we’ll see) and many more, the music world has a newly paved way for lots of underrated and new artists to breakout and make their impact on people everywhere.
