Now, I know I already did a Fall starter pack, so here is my take on the six things that make my winter a little bit better.
Winter is by far my least favorite season, but I do love a good cup of hot chocolate, specifically Swiss Miss with the little marshmallows. I feel like winter is the only acceptable time to drink it, so, of course, the second the temperature drops, you will see me with a hot chocolate in hand.
Second, I would have to say are my Ugg minis, even though they are not always practical for trudging through the snow, I do believe that they are the cutest boots and make every outfit look good. Plus, they are super comfortable, and I feel like I am always walking around with slippers on.
Next item on the list is definitely a good puffer jacket. Especially when living in New York, I will not be caught outside without my North Face puffer jacket, bonus points if it reaches your ankles (it gets really cold out here).
Fourth on the list is a good Christmas list. I love online shopping and just seeing it all put together, and I also love looking at all of my family members’ lists, too. My Grandma is really big into the Christmas lists, and if yours isn’t sent to her by Black Friday, it’s just over for you.
I would have put Christmas on this list, but I feel like it’s just a given already. December is only good because you have Christmas to look forward to; without that, December would be at the bottom of my list.
Fifth, hallmark movies. I honestly don’t even like them that much, with some exceptions, but they make for the perfect background noise when you are wrapping Christmas presents. I feel like you don’t really have to pay attention to them to know what is going on for the most part. I can’t lie, though, they have sucked me in before, and I can’t leave until I find out if Jenny and Rob end up getting married (they always do).
Last but not least, Christmas cookies, they are one of my favorite things about winter, and no one has an excuse not to eat them; they are the best and always made with love. I have the best memories of making them with my grama. My favorite cutout was always the Bell.
HM: The new year; I love everything about it. The “fresh start,” New Year’s resolutions, New Year’s Eve parties, I just love everything that has to do with New Year’s.
These are the six things that I think make winter a little bit better, and I honestly can’t wait for spring and for all of this snow to be gone.
