As it gets closer and closer to Halloween, the pressure to have an amazing costume steadily grows. However, since most of us are on a college budget, it can be difficult to find a (or multiple) cost-effective outfit(s) for the entire weekend. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to find or make a cheap and cute costume for one of the most fun holidays of the year!
One idea for a cheap Halloween costume is to dress up as Mia Wallace from “Pulp Fiction.” This look is super easy to pull off because it doesn’t require you to buy much of anything at all! All you need is a white button up shirt, black leggings or jeans, a short black wig, and a fake cigarette (or a real one, based on your preference). The only thing you’ll need to pay for is the wig – unless you happen to already have short black hair.
Another idea that would be good for you and your friends to try out is dressing up like people from “The Purge.” All that is necessary for these costumes is to dress in all tight black clothes, a mask, and fake blood. There’s nothing more intimidating than a group of girls covered in fake blood walking toward you!
One of my personal favorite ideas is to dress as a devil; which is also super easy as long as you have a tight red shirt, red tights, and a pair of denim shorts to wear over the tights. So simple, yet so cute!
If you’re really desperate to save money, you could always dig out those old bunny, cat, or mouse ears from your childhood closet, draw some whiskers on your face, and call it a day.
