Alone at night, every once in a while
When my heart aches and craves for a smile
I think back to the nights in July
Where I laid on the beach and gazed at the sky.
We watched the sun sink below the sea
Surrounded by each other as calm as can be
The waves crept up the smooth soft sand
It grabbed our feet as I held his hand.
Nothing brings peace like the crashing tide
In awe of nature, my soul will confide
And as the moon rises with guiding bright light
The stars come out it is a beautiful sight
The memory, it makes me feel like I’m there
The peace and tranquility, both are so rare
I can still hear the waves and feel the calm breeze
I would love to go back anytime now, please.
