As one of the world’s biggest shopping addicts, I decided that this week I would curate a list of my top five items that are totally worth your money. Now, I have a much longer, more extensive list of items in my Notes app of things that I would repurchase again and again, however I have decided to narrow this down to my most reused, reworn, and loved items for you!
Enjoy!
Number One: The Free People Protagonist Tee – $38
Genuinely, this is one of my favorite articles of clothing I have ever owned and will ever own. I am so down for literally anything from Free People. The quality of their clothing, the versatility, the uniqueness— it checks all of my boxes. Yes, it is damn near $40, but it is honestly so worth it. Mine have remained comfortable and have not lost quality in my time owning them.Â
For those of you who really care about blends and builds and structures and styles, here is a little more info. It is a 92% cotton tee, cropped, fitted tee with a scoop neckline and defined seaming. I have it in four colors (I know, overconsumption final boss, but what can I say, it is so flattering, comfortable, and versatile), including an army-green color, a bright yellow, cherry red, and a teal-ish blue. They go with literally everything, from jeans to sweatpants to skirts; I have worn them with just about anything. They don’t require a nasty underwire bra (if that is something you consider when purchasing clothes), and the crop is so flattering.Â
Two: L’ange 2-in-1 Blow Dryer Brush – $50
Honestly, everyone needs a blow dryer brush, or at least a friend with a blow dryer brush. The L’ange brush is my all-time favorite that I have ever used or tried, and it even comes in a cute blush pink shade! L’ange is a relatively affordable brand, falling between the expensive Drybar products and cheaper brands that you can find at Sephora and Ulta. It is available at Walmart and online, making it super accessible too!Â
It takes me maybe fifteen minutes to blow out my hair with this brush, maybe thirty if it is completely soaking wet, but that is still considerably minimal time, and with the use of an anti-frizz blow-out treatment like Color Wow Dream Coat, your hair will literally look silky-smooth-salon fresh!
Three: Levi’s Jeans, Low Loose and Superlow Loose – $75 – $110:
I have always struggled with finding jeans, especially ones that were flattering on me. American Eagle just never cut it for me as it did for other girls. For reference, I prefer a mid-rise, baggier jean that goes ALL the way down and touches the floor. I have relatively long legs, so I tend to struggle to find jeans that actually fit me.Â
That is when I was introduced to the love of my life: Levi’s Jeans. The Low Loose and Superlow Loose Jeans are relatively similar, having the same rise but different hip placements, which makes all the difference. The only three pairs of jeans I own are Levi’s: a dark wash, a light wash, and a black pair. The Superlow is 100% cotton, which is honestly a dream, and the Low Loose is generally also mostly cotton. I am a big supporter of cotton clothing— leave that polyester stuff elsewhere!Â
The sizing on these jeans is incredible as well, especially because Levi’s doesn’t do traditional American sizing. All girls know that sizing is never consistent between stores, which is why Levi’s was so appealing to me in the first place. You can order their jeans in waist and length measurements, meaning that you can get perfect length and waist sizing on your pants! This allows for a more fitting look, allowing different body shapes and sizes to find their perfect fit!
These are the perfect jeans for dressing up and dressing down. They’re great if you want to go take cute pictures with your friends at a local cafe, super comfortable for a night out, and perfect for going to class or work. I wear them with Uggs, sneakers, sandals, heels— literally anything my heart desires. The comfort and versatility of a broken-in pair of Levi’s is unmatched!
Four: Ole Henriksen Pout Preserve Lip Treatment – $24
I have tried essentially every single lip product known to man, from Summer Fridays to some random lip oil I found at Wegmans when I was chapped and desperate, but by far Ole is the absolute best. It is thick but not sticky, hydrating, and it comes in so many different colors and shades. I think it can be extremely difficult to find a lip product that is entirely worth your money, but I have repurchased this product three separate times, meaning I have emptied two whole tubes of it. Obviously, I can’t speak for everyone— we all have different tastes in lip products, whether it be balms or oils or treatments like this, but I generally think this is an excellent choice if you’re willing to splurge a little!
Five: Owala Water bottle – $20-50
I know, I know, what a basic answer, right? Wrong. I know everyone and their mom and their mom’s mom has an Owala Free Sip, but it is seriously the best water bottle I’ve ever owned, and I am an extreme follower of water bottle trends. I’ve had Hydro Flasks, I’ve had Frank Greens and Stanleys; nothing compares to an Owala. The brand itself is incredible; the concept behind having different limited-edition colors and launches provides so much variety in their collection. They have numerous different styles and sizes, perfect for literally anyone to find their preferred water bottle.Â
One of my favorite features of the FreeSip is the dual mouthpiece action you get; there is a straw and a hole in the top so you can sip it regularly or “chug.” I think the duality is what really gets me with this product; it is perfect for whatever you need it for! The color variety is incredible; they have so many different combinations and colorways, and of course, as mentioned, limited-edition color drops that include an entirely new variety for shoppers to choose from! I really do love this water bottle!Â
Honorable Mention: Any piercing ever.
I will not go into too much detail here, but if you are ever even considering getting a piercing and you don’t want to spend the money, just do it. They are always worth it. I don’t have any tattoos currently, but I imagine that those are the same way…
