My Current Wishlist

As a girl who hates spending money but still manages to blow through my savings, I have tried making a wishlist of things I want to buy, but won’t let myself. My rule for myself is: If I want something, write it down, and if a month or two passes and I still want it, then I’ll consider buying it. If it’s too expensive to justify, I leave it on the list until my birthday rolls around. These are my top five of a very long list.

1.Rhode Pocket Bronze

This has stayed at the top of my list for months at this point. Marked at a $25 retail price, I just can’t quite justify spending that much money myself on just one makeup product. Although it really isn’t crazy expensive, I just would rather wait to ask for it as a gift. With all that said, I am just about at my breaking point and am probably only one recommendation short of caving in and buying it.

2. The North Face Rain Jacket

I have been on the hunt on Depop, waiting for someone to list this in good condition and at a price I would be willing to spend. Nearly $100 is crazy to spend on a rain jacket; I know it, my mom knows it, and so does literally anyone else I send the link to. I could definitely look for another brand, or just buy the jacket in a color other than black, but those are all just the reasons I am keeping it on my wishlist.

3. UGG Lowmel

Two years. These shoes have stayed on my list for two years. Why haven’t I bought them? I currently already have four pairs of UGGs that are still perfectly wearable. As obsessed as I am with these shoes, I have to at least wait until another pair of mine is out of use.  Even though I probably won’t buy them, every time I see my friend wear hers, I am filled with jealousy.

4.Cécred Edge Drops and Detangler

I am almost finished with my second bottle of the detangler, and let me tell you, it’s worth every penny. As much as I love it, it is worth too many pennies. One bottle of the detangler, which is only 8.5 ounces, is $28. Again, too much money to want to spend on one item. The Restoring Hair and Edge drops put me in an even harder position. Only 1.7 ounces, and… $56. Crazy. I am super eager to try these, since every review I see is amazing, but for that much money, I’d rather cross my fingers and wait for a sale.

5. A matching Alo lounge set

Another item that has been on the wishlist for far too long is a matching set. I am obsessed every time I see a girl on campus in her matching set, and every time I remind myself that I will not be breaking the bank like that. I think no matter what color, every time I’ve seen this set, it looks so chic and clean.  I love everything about it, especially the espresso color, but not the price tag. $150 for the top, $140 for the pants. Nope. Although I won’t be making this purchase myself, I will be making sure at least the sweatpants are on my Christmas list this year.

Only a month into college, I have spent way too much money than I’d like to admit. As much as I want each of these things, my bank account does not.  With each of these products, I wish I could have them, but I am also content watching reviews, putting them into my outfit inspiration board on Pinterest, and waiting until I have a “big girl job” and am no longer a broke college student. As an easily influenced girl who needs to save, please do not recommend any of these things to me, or else I will probably buy them.
