October is reaching its end. The leaves are changing and falling, the air is getting colder and the sun is setting earlier. You know what that means…Halloween is quickly approaching!

There are so many fun ways to spend this haunted holiday. Here are some ways for you and your friends to have the best time during the spooky season.

Go pumpkin picking

Visit a pumpkin patch with your friends. Dress up in cute autumn outfits and take pictures. Go for the vibes and aesthetics. Enjoy some apple cider and pumpkin donuts. These festive farms tend to have a wide variety of pumpkins to choose from. Choose your preference, a classic orange pumpkin, a unique warty pumpkin or cute mini pumpkins.

Decorate pumpkins

Carving pumpkins and making jack-o-lanterns is a great Halloween tradition. You could carve a silly face, write a spooky pun or do something super artsy. Painting pumpkins is a great spin on this tradition. Creating fun patterns, painting a Halloween portrait, or writing Halloween well-wishes is a really unique way to take on the tradition of decorating a pumpkin.

Watch a Halloween movie

There are so many good Halloween movies out there. If you’re in for a scare, find a Halloween horror film such as “Poltergeist.” If you want a classic Halloween film, find a good oldie such as “Ghostbusters.” If you’re more into wholesome and cute movies, go for a Disney favorite like “Hocus Pocus.” Popcorn, Halloween candy and other fall treats are a must for a spooky season movie night.

Host a Halloween party

For an epic Halloween party, there needs to be a decorative theme. If you choose a scary theme for your party, you need to commit to frightening props, like scary skeletons and fake blood and spider webs. Changing your LED lights to a deep purple, red, orange or green color would be great to set the spooky mood.

Themed party snacks are always so cute. A Halloween puppy chow mix with colored M&M, orange sprinkles or candy corn is a great idea. Pumpkin-decorated cupcakes are a must. Fun-shaped cookies, like ghosts, coffins, bats, cauldrons and witches’ hats are cute and easy to decorate. Carmel apples are a fun treat. A caramel, peanut butter and chocolate hazelnut spread butter board with apple slices is a trendy way to impress your guests.

Dress up

Go all out with your costume. Really commit to whatever you decide to be. Have fun with it; it’s Halloween. Plan a fun group costume with all of your friends. Do a solo costume and really stand out. Don’t be afraid to be super creative. Funny costumes are always a hit. Pretty costumes with insane makeup are always cool. Gory costumes are very fitting. Be you and be confident on Halloween.

Have fun celebrating spooky season. Hope you try some of these activities this Halloween!
