New York Fashion Week just wrapped up and there were, of course, so many innovative and beautiful designs hitting the runway. But nothing says the fashion stops once the runway houselights are brought back up. Celebrities and models hit the streets of New York sporting their own signature looks. The street trend this September: statement jackets. Whether it’s bright colored bubble jackets, or animal print trench coats, these jackets really brought together the looks.
The jacket trend didn’t just apply for separates. Jacket and skirt/pant sets also were extremely popular, as well as very eye catching, like this mustard yellow Krizia set. Bella Hadid was also spotted sporting this trend in a red jacket and skirt set.
As always, hats off to the designers and New York for a great showing of the Spring 2018 collections. As winter starts to creep up, expect to see this statement jacket trend continued, especially when the temperatures start to slip below freezing in New York.
