I have always been a Disney fan. When I was little, my parents introduced me to classic Disney movies and Disney shows. I watched all classic Disney princess movies before I graduated elementary school, and I watched Disney Channel on Netflix until Disney+ came out. When Disney+ came out, I sat in my family room for hours watching shows and movies. I have always loved Disney, and I will always love it.

One of my favorite aspects of Disney growing up was the romance between the princess and the prince. I knew from a young age that the love portrayed in Disney shows and movies was not realistic, but I let myself dream, wondering if my Prince Charming would ever find my glass slipper. Obviously, that never happened, and that never will happen. But hey, a girl can dream, right?

I have always been in awe of Cinderella. She was my favorite princess growing up. I loved Cinderella, and I still do. I loved the glass slipper, how Prince Charming went around town looking for the girl whose feet fit perfectly into the heel, and the happily ever after that Cinderella and every Disney princess movie ends with. I want the type of love that’s portrayed in the movies, with love letters, opening the door, getting her flowers, and all of the simple things that are portrayed in movies.

My favorite princess turned to Elsa and Anna from Frozen when I was in late elementary school. I have an older sister, who is one of my favorite people. However, like most sister relationships, I annoyed her all of the time growing up. I would walk into her room unannounced, take things from her, and annoy her. I annoyed her a lot growing up, and even though I still do, our relationship has matured as we have gotten older. I still take her clothes, makeup, and other things sometimes, but now I will call her at random times a day for advice, to show her what I got shopping that day, or just to rant to her.

I have always loved Disney. I love the magic, curiosity, and the fun that is incorporated in everything that they do. When I watch movies, I feel like I am transported into another world, an escape from everyday life. I have seen every Disney princess movie multiple times, and I will always watch them again. My love for Disney has been a love that I have had for my entire life, and it I one that I will continue to carry with me for a long time.
