DW: “I am in the Laugh Pack, theater productions and in the music department.”
HC: “You founded The Laugh Pack at St. Bonaventure, can you tell us a little bit about that?”
DW: “The Laugh Pack is the first official comedy club at St. Bonaventure University. We currently are focusing on improv and stand-up comedy. It is a lot of fun and we have a great group of students that are involved. We recently went to NYC to perform in the 8th annual College Improv Tournament in NYC and placed 4th in the regional. We welcome anyone that wants to be funny.”
HC: “You also recently took part in the SBU Theatre production of “Story Theatre”! What was that like?”
DW: “It was a great experience. Everyone involved was fantastic to work with. I loved every minute of it. After performing, we received a great reception on the performance, which was very gratifying.”
HC: “I think its safe to say that entertainment is something that you clearly enjoy! What do you hope for the future?”
DW: “I honestly hope that one day I could work for a comedy club and work with comedians and the business side of running one. I also would like to continue and do stand-up and improv comedy in the professional world.”
HC: “Since you do a lot of performing what is something that you wish people knew about standing up and performing in front of a crowd of people?”
DW: “I wish that people knew that performing in front of a crowd it is not a death sentence. It’s an opportunity for people to see you perform. I think that people should take a shot at performing in front of crowd and enjoy the experience.”
HC: “Any advice for people who battle with stage fright?”
DW: “Keep doing it. Don’t let fright stop you from stepping on a stage. Express yourself. Don’t be someone that you’re not.”
HC: “What is you favorite thing about Bona’s?”
DW: “Everything. I don’t regret coming here. It was probably the best decision that I have ever made.”
