Mommy’s stomach has gotten so big

I cannot wait to meet you

Daddy says you’re a little boy

We’ve already painted your room blue

We’ve thought of hundreds of names

And bought a thousand things

Everyone calls to check on you

Even I jump when the phone rings

I’m going to be a great big sister

I’ll even share my toys

I’ll learn to like things that you do

I’ve even started playing with boys

We’re rushing to the hospital now

Mommy and Daddy look scared

A nurse is taking mommy away

But I’m sure she’s prepared

It’s been hours

And I still don’t see you

Mommy’s stomach is smaller now

And we’re no longer waiting on you

But Daddy says you’re in heaven

So some day, I’ll meet you
