What To Do When The Weather Is Nice In The QCA?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SAU chapter.

It is officially shorts season and time to spend as much time as possible outside. Of course it is fun to play volleyball outside of Tiedemann and do your homework on the picnic benches outside, but there are also plenty of fun things to do off campus.

1.     River Bandits Games – The local minor league baseball team has just started up with their season. There are several home games to go to at Modern Woodman Park before the school year is over. This is always a fun activity to do with your friends and sometimes they even have a bouncy house to jump in. The best part of the bouncy house is that there usually is no age limit.

2.     Mini Golf– Little Mississippi Miniature on Kimberly is always a fun place to go golfing with friends. There are even some prices if you get a hole in one on the last hole. It is a small course, but mini golf is always a fun activity

3.Picnics – Picnics may sound so childish, but they can actually be really fun. Grab a group of friends pack a lunch and go over to Vander Veer Park to eat it. The park is so pretty this time of year and is definitely one of the best places to people watch.

4.Go Karting- Michael’s Fun World is a great place to go if you want to bring yourself back to your childhood. They have plenty of activities to occupy your time like go karting. It is kind of a childish track, but is also very fun. Michael’s fun world also has mini golf, batting cages, and laser tag.

Don’t waste a beautiful day inside! Take full advantage of the weather and do something fun with your friends.
