March 8th: International Women’s Day: Black Hawk College

  • Join us at the Quad-Cities Campus for Women’s History Month 2023. Celebrating women who tell our stories. International Women’s Day. Exploring gender inequality from 12-1pm.

March 8th: Rock Island Arsenal ASC Series:

  • WOW’s & Riveters: Women Workers at Rock Island Arsenal at 6pm 

March 8th: Ladies Night at Cedar Creek East

  • It is at 6pm at Cedar Creek East in Galesburg, IL. 

March 12th: Iowa City Public Library- Painted Moon 

  • Recognize Women’s History Month when you create a fun space-themed craft! From 1-4pm in the Storyroom.

March 14th: Iowa City Public Library- Let’s Talk Books

  • Read a Woman’s Biography. Biographies give you an inside look at someone else’s life. They give you the chance to learn from someone else’s experience (or mistakes), and give you a perspective that may be different from your own.

March 17th: Girls Night Out the Show at First Avenue

  • It is at 8pm in Iowa City starting at $22. 

March 18th: How to reset your SUPERwoman’s ‘SELF’

  • It is at 2pm in Rockford, IL. It is a free event. 

March 25th: I am Her: Remembered

  • Starts at 12pm in the Hyatt Place Iowa City Downtown. There is a $30 entrance fee. 

March 25th: Hey Sis- Women’s Empowerment Luncheon

  • Starts at 12pm in Peoria, IL hosted by the Knights of Columbus. It costs $48 to attend. 

March 25th: Women’s Expo

  • Starts at 6pm in Rockford, IL. It costs $30 to attend. 

March 27th: Her Campus Speaker Panel

  • St.Ambrose University from 6-8pm in the Rogo Ballroom. Come listen to some incredible speakers and ask questions.
Veronica A(V) is the Campus Correspondent at HC @ SAU. She oversees the entire chapter including editorial, events, social media, etc. Beyond HC, V is involved on campus. She is the President of DAPi. She is the Social Media Director for SAAT, and a Sexual Assault Advocate. Veronica is majoring in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in Special Education and a minor in Music. She is currently student teaching!!! In her freetime, V plays the flute and other instruments and can sing. She used to play and coach softball. Veronica was born in Florida but now lives in Illinois. She also has 2 cats at home. She was the D.E.I. Ambassador for 2 years.
