French Moderns: Monet to Matisse (Exhibits & Galleries)

  • French Moderns, featuring 60 works drawn from the collection of the Brooklyn Museum, chronicles one of the most dynamic, and beloved eras in the history of art. Divided by subject into four themes, Landscape–Still Life, Portraits and Figures, and the Nude–the exhibition shows how the basic conception of artmaking changed over the course of a century.

Literary Heroines Exhibit (Exhibits & Galleries)

  • Take a critical look at the wardrobes and interests of exciting and memorable characters, as they come to life through vignettes examining heroines such as Hermione Granger of the Harry Potter books, Laura Ingalls from the Little House on the Prairie series and Jo March from Little Women.
  • Putnam Museum and Science Center on view from October 13th, 2018 to January 6th, 2018.

 

Varlden Ar Liten: The World is Small (Exhibit & Galleries)

  • This show will highlight works in ATMA’s collections made by Swedish and Swedish-American artists working between 1850-1950, whose art and practice brought them into dialogue with Parisian Modernism.

Festival of Trees (Festival & events)

  • Experience the magic of the most loved holiday tradition in the Quad Cities. Festival of Trees is one of the top 10 events of its kind in the country with something for everyone.  There are gorgeous trees, decorated gingerbread houses, holiday room displays, kid’s activities, live entertainment, a winter train display, a Huge Toy Tree, and more.

QC brewery excursion (festivals & events)

  • This tour gives you the opportunity to enjoy some great beers while leaving the driving to us. Tickets are $59 and include a beer at each stop (along with more samples along the way), a short brewery tour or brewer chat, transportation between breweries in our upscale van (complete with free bottled water and snacks), and more!

Nami family & friends seminar (Classes & lectures)

  • NAMI Family & Friends is a free four-hour seminar that informs people who have loved ones with a mental health condition how to best support them. It’s also an opportunity to meet other people in similar situations and gain community support.

Christmas at The Barn (Festivals & events)

  • Enjoy Christmas lights and decorations at the Antique Engine & Tractor Assoc. show grounds, while riding the train and horse drawn wagons free.  Step inside the decorated timber-frame Red Barn for a warming bowl of chili or potato soup, finger foods, desserts, hot chocolate and coffee. Tickets for the soup supper are $10 for adults if purchased by November 23 or may be purchased at the door for $15.

Viva la divas drag show (festivals & events)

  • Now in its fifth year, Viva La Divas is the longest running drag show in the Quad Cities bringing you some of the United States best performers! Viva La Divas has three multiple title holders and Speakeasy favorites… Dementia Jaide, Jamie Summers and Milange Cavalli!

  • The Circa 21 Speakeasy, doors open at 7pm on December 7th, 2018.​
