Road Trips to Take During Summer Vacation

Summer will be here before you know it. With finals week approaching shortly, you don’t have much time before the beloved summer vacation starts. Some students take summer courses, work busy jobs, and get internships positions, but it is important to have a little fun in these three, short months. Try planning something different this summer, like a road trip! Grab some friends, make great playlists to jam to, and hop in the car. A destination is not even needed. Sometimes the best trips are the ones not planned. But here are some destinations or fun places to explore for some inspiration.

 

Cedar Point

 This amusement park is in Sandusky, Ohio, and is home to some of the tallest roller coasters in the world. Cedar Point was awarded the Golden Ticket Award for “Best Amusement Park in the World. If you want an adrenaline rush and a test of bravery, this amusement park is for you.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum

This museum is located in Cleveland, Ohio, and is huge at 150,000 square-feet. The museum features exhibits on some of the most influential artists and bands in rock ‘n roll, like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Disney World

Although this trip is a long distance and can get expensive, it is worth it. Disney World is a place that can take you back to your childhood. It’s hard to have a frown when Mickey Mouse is dancing around.

Navy Pier

This 3,000-foot long pier was built in 1916 and cost $4.15 million to build. It is on Chicago’s lakefront and hosts a ton of tourists every year. Navy Pier has a 15-story tall ferris wheel and even offers boat rides onto Lake Michigan.

Wisconsin Dells

There is never a shortage of things to do in Wisconsin Dells. The Dells have tons of indoor and outdoor waterparks and fun amusement parks. It is pretty hard to be bored in a place with so many things to do.
