Valentine’s Day is all about love, and what better way to spread love than by quoting romantic movies. Whether you are sending a letter to your main man, secret admirer or your mom back home, having a few movie lines will be very helpful in showing your love and appreciation.

“You should be kissed, and often, and by someone who knows how.” – Clark Gable in Gone With the Wind.

Although we don’t recommend telling your mother this, it is a great thing to hear from your significant other.

“So I can kiss you anytime I want.” Jake in Sweet Home Alabama.

Again this is not idea for your mother, but it has graced many a Pinterest wedding board as an a saying on a pillow or above your bed. Hopefully there are more reasons than just this for staying with your significant other, but it should be on the list.

“I like you very much just as you are.” Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones’s Diary.

This is a great line to tell and be told because nobody should have to change who are they are just for someone they like; if they truly love you, they will love everything about you. Bruno Mars reiterates this when he sings “girl you’re amazing, just the way you are.”

“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” Harry in When Harry Met Sally.

We don’t even have words for this beautiful line; it’s just perfect.

“I’ll never let go, Jack.” Rose in Titanic.

Provided his name is Jack and you’re not clinging for dear life to a piece of wood in the middle of the ocean this could be a very romantic promise to tell your man, especially if you plan to keep him all to yourself.

“I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.” Lord of the Rings.

He will appreciate this reference no matter if you have seen the movies or not.

“Every morning I still wake up and the first thing I want to do is see your face.” P.S. I love you.

Love knows no distance, so this is the perfect thing to say to that special someone who you don’t get to see every day.

“I vow to love you. And no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find a way back to each other.” Leo in The Vow.

This might seem like something you would say in a more serious relationship, but it is still a sign of true love if you can overcome anything that stands in your way.

“If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.” Winnie the Pooh.

Because we love Disney and who doesn’t love the wisdom of Winnie the Pooh.

“Some people are worth melting for.” Olaf in Frozen.

With the amount of snow SAU has seen lately and since the temperature is supposed to get into the 20s around Valentine’s Day this is the perfect thing to say to anyone as soon as the snow starts melting. We guarantee it will make their heart melt and bring a tear to their eye just as Olaf did when we saw this in theaters.

So no matter what your plans are for Valentine’s Day, always remember that here at Her Campus SAU we love you and will gladly send you a card with any one of these movie quotes on it.
